The studies on the urbanization process acceleration and the implications of this from an environmental, economic, social, demographic or psychological view highlighted the existence of conflicting issues arising from disparities in economic and social development of different countries. One of the most contradictory processes of urbanization is the motivation for migration from rural to urban. Thus, there is competition between cities, which requires an effective urban management and the attitude closer to the private sector. For any modern city should be valid next territorial planning objectives: rational land use, the effective use of existing resources in the territory (human, material, natural), harmonious and balanced development of settlements, the preservation of ecological balance and environmental protection. More than before, a city must be managed through decision appropriate to changes that occur. |
