There remained something special in Octav Sargetiu’s soul that attached him for ever to Bessarabia. Like D. Iov, Gheorghe Dorul-Dumitrescu, N. Dunareanu and others, Octav Sargetiu belonged to Bessarabia by adoption, and he could never forget this country. He praised it not only in verse, but also in prose. He liked it as much as all of us like it. The destiny of this province seems to have something of our destiny and of our unrest. His desire to visit Bessarabia once again remained unfulfilled.
