THE GENDER ISSUE IN EUROPEAN LEGAL ACTS IN RELATION TO CRISIS MANAGEMENT OPERATIONS Gender policy is treated in the Resolutions of the United Nations Security Council on women, peace and security, as well as in the European Union guides concerning the implementation of the Resolutions. In 2010, the United Nations Security Council ratified the gender indicators for peacekeeping missions. Subsequently, it adopted another three resolutions on woman, peace and security. European Union Council established the EU gender indicators in 2010. Thus, the UN and EU gender indicators need to be revised according to the latest Resolutions of the United Nations Security Council on women, peace and security. |
