The semantic-syntactic structure of the lexemes pe and la. Based on the most representative Romanian specialised writings, the present study revisits the idea of conversion of parts of speech, focusing on the lexemes pe (‘on’) and la (‘at’). The article aims at supporting
Drașoveanu’s opinion, regarding the need to discriminate between the prepositional and morphemic values of pe, and the prepositional and adjectival values of la respectively. This delineation may also help eliminate the limitations that exist in defining the syntactic functions of the terms that the aforementioned lexemes precede. |
