Rezumat

The way which teachers manage stress is an important issue for their psychological adjustment and prevention of the occurrence of undesirable consequences for school life. The investigations reveal the influence of stress on the occurrence of symptoms of teacher’s burnout. The prevention of stress and symptoms of burnout at teachers do not rely only on the application of measures to develop individual skills, but must be combined with measures and actions which will optimize the work environment and climate.
