The author ascertains an increased interest exhibited by the civil society and the contemporary scientific society as well over diverse cultural phenomena related to army, history and its traditions, the miltary uniform. In this context, he considers appropriate to systematize the analytic material concerning the military uniform and to study the unexplored aspects of this field: the origin of the military uniform, the symbolistic elements of the military uniform, the ontological ground, the esthetical aspect of the military uniform etc. Moreover, the author aims to carry out a comprehensive approach of the military uniform taken as a cultural phenomenon. In this respect, he makes an analysis of some peculiarities regarding the cultural-phenomenological manifestations of the military uniform.
