The authors discuss various debatable questions connected with issue of cast coins in medieval Chersonese. It is a question of technological features of coinage, their relative and absolute chronology. The considered chronological framework covers an interval from the beginning of minting of the first cast coins in the first half of 8th c. till 13th century, when the last unilateral cast coins with the monogram Ρω were thought to have been issued.

Articolul discută diferite aspecte legate de emiterea monedei turnate în Hersonesul medieval. Sunt examinate particularităţile tehnologice ale emisiunii monedelor, cronologia relativă şi absolută a lor. Limitele cronologice ale lucrării cuprind intervalul dintre începutul emiterii primelor monede turnate în prima jumătate a sec. VII pînă în sec. XIII, cînd, probabil, erau emise ultimele monede turnate unilaterale cu monograma Ρω.

В статье рассмотрены различные спорные вопросы, связанные с выпуском литой монеты в средневековом Херсоне. Речь идет о технологических особенностях выпуска монет, их относительной и абсолютной хронологии. Хронологические рамки работы охватывают интервал от начала выпуска первых литых монет в первой половине VIII в. до XIII в., когда, вероятно, выпускались последние односторонние литые монеты с монограммой Ρω.
