The study highlights new details of the life and literary career of the poetess Magda Isanos, rebuilt and recorded by her daughter Elisabeta Isanos in several books of memoirs: In Search of Magda Isanos (In cautarea Magdei Isanos, 2003), The Way to Ombria (Drumul spre Ombria, 2004), Cosanzenii (2005). Details about the poetess’ life come from her daughter who collected them from letters, notes, found by old crates of the house and from articles found in library archives, memories of the family and contemporaries. Magda Isanos’dramatic destiny split between the cities Iasi, Chisinau and Bucharest represents time in agony, haunted by wars and massive displacements of the horrified population. Her daughter’s gesture is similar to foundation of a salvation symbol.
