The paper presents the results of the assessment of the variability of the productivity and the characters of the fruit in tomato varieties and perspective lines. It was found that in the extremely unfavorable conditions of 2023, the highest productivity was shown by the variety Mary Gratefully (27.5 t/ha) and the lines L 305 (30.4 t/ha), L 307 (28.7 t/ha ha), thus showing interest for the perspective improvement process. According to the estimation of the coefficient of variation, high variability manifested the mass character of the fruit; average – pericarp thickness, mesocarp thickness, number of seed boxes; low – the length and diameter of the fruit. |
