On the third of May, within the limits of Scientifi c-practical Conference named “Ecclesiastical heritage as the revival of our past” was hold on Moldovan Metropolitanate’s initiative where some questions concerning religious heritage were discussed including the meaningfulness and signifi cance of church books. The author gives an example of rich library of Moldavian male monastery of Hyrbovets and considers such aspects as typology of documented books, analysis of contents and marginal notes, safety, cover and decorative- metallic pieces. Also there is classifi cation of religious books depending on the contents and destination with practical recommendations according to further study of ecclesiastical heritage those are cloistral libraries of Moldova.
