Rezumat | ||||||
The research of journalistic mediation as a model of public communication represents a challenge determined by the reduced interest of researchers towards this subject and, respectively, by the very small number of dedicated studies. The currently existing works in the international scientific circuit treat journalistic mediation as a mission deriving from the socialization function of the mass media. This tangential and unilateral approach has not enabled the multidimensional examination of the subject, a fact that imposed upon identification of a new research perspective where journalistic mediation would be examined as an autonomous journalistic activity. Thus, the purpose of the research carried out in this study resides in the conceptualization of the mediating communication and in projection of its identity profile in the contemporary media context. In order to achieve this prerequisite, the investigative effort has been oriented to explain the essence of mediating journalistic activity, in general, and the television mediating communication in particular, as well as their peculiarity by describing the main signs, characteristics, missions etc. |
