Rezumat

In various models from mechanics, electrostatic forces are applied at a point called the center of gravity. Determining the center of gravity is a task included in the curriculum of school subjects in physics and mathematics. In physics, each body is characterized by its own mass and the position of the center of gravity. Determination and knowledge of the position of the center of gravity of the body is important in practical activities, often associated with the concept of balance. Often the center of gravity is also called the center of mass. Determination of the position of the center of gravity of the body can be carried out by experimental methods and by mathematical calculations. In this paper, various methods for determining the coordinates of the center of gravity for various flat geometric figures of varying degrees of complexity are investigated and implemented by means of a program code. The final product described in the article is an application executed in the Delphi FMX programming environment, with which the user simulates an experimental activity to determine the center of gravity of a geometric figure specified by the user or randomly generated by a computer.
