Rezumat

The principle „unconditional surrender” had come into use during the U.S.A. Civil War, but it was included in the international law only during the Second World War. It lay at the basis of conclusion of the trust with Axis countries. Therefore, the Allies tied to stop militarism, revenge and the starting of a new world war. However, the outcome was different – the war was prolonged, the independence and sovereignty of the enemy countries was put in danger, the communism came to the Central and East Europe, the American nuclear weapon was tested in Japan which resulted in thousands of dead and wounded persons.
