Rezumat

It is impossible to achieve the elaboration, the promotion and the consolidation of a state entity’s political image without taking into consideration the media dimension. The main factor in achieving a media campaign of a state promotion in its national and international dimension, involves the study of the whole society media functional spectrum at the inner and external context. The Republic of Moldova, lying at the juncture of the Eastern and Western geopolitical interests, represents the scene of some media games that many times proved to be to the prejudice of the Moldavian population. The clearing up of factors, conditions, slips, existent discrepancies within the actual media mechanism, would allow to the Republic of Moldova to elaborate a media rival strategy in order to crystallize and promote a consistent political image that will impel it in new national and international political values. The relevance of the approached aspects is determined by the state and public local media non activism, by the absence of a rival media sphere based on valences of market economy and the spirit of loyal competition. These gaps are used by the foreign partners of Republic of Moldova to promote their own interests. As a result population of Republic of Moldova has an unlimited access to foreign mass-media, prevalent of Russian and Romanian orientation. Local media represents only the mimic of the Russian and Romanian mass-media specter with small flickers of a state media interested in promoting the image of Republic of Moldova. In conditions when Republic of Moldova strive for integration in Euro- Atlantic structures, tend for it’s affirmation on the international arena as a political actor, aspire to realize it’s territorial integrity and to obtain a favorable political and civil climate for sustainable development is indubitable necessary to consolidate a local media mechanism to promote the image of Republic of Moldova.
