The main information risks of consumers of financial services are analyzed in the article. Based on the analysis of the legislation of the European Union, the main types of guarantees for the protection of the rights of clients of financial institutions have been identified. Also, proposals were made to amend the legislation of Ukraine on the protection of information security of consumers of financial services. The purpose of this work is to identify the main types of state guarantees for the protection of information security of consumers of financial services and to establish their common features based on analysis of financial legislation of Ukraine and the European Union. The author concludes that the main tasks of building an effective system of protection of consumer rights of financial services are: legislative support of the state regulator to protect consumer rights, as well as strengthening the rules for disclosure to financial institutions, increasing information transparency, financial literacy, and consumer awareness. services and compliance with disclosure requirements in financial services markets, empowering consumers of financial services to obtain such services to ensure their free and appropriate choice. The state should introduce a ban at the legislative level on the practice of imposing services or their providers and supervise compliance with this rule by the relevant supervisory authorities. |
