Th e valorifi cation of the natural and cultural heritage is a topic of interest for any researcher and teacher of social sciences and humanities, given that it is the only way one can we have access to an important source of genuine information. Today we are losing valuable knowledge related to traditions, customs, legends, monuments of architectural value are being destroyed, remaining without due attention to a very important area for both local communities and the state. Th e local cultural heritage is one of the most important sources for giving lessons of other historical social activities, which a professor of history, civics, geography etc. must organise. Th rough this the teacher could help his disciples become aware, or help the develop a passion for national history, especially when previous generations, trained by the Soviet Union school were subject to ideological propaganda aimed at indoctrinating the population. Th e importance of researching the heritage is emphasised and promoted by the national objective of delivering historical truth by virtue of discovering new documents and by analysing those insuffi ciently assessed until today. A well explored local heritage can serve as a stepping stone to include urban and rural tourist routes local or international republican . Th e Master thesis represents a scientifi c research dedicated to a current aspect of contemporary science. It aims to collect and interpret a rich documentary material and also developing skills to synthesize information, determine the importance of fi eld research as a whole, for subsequent studies. Master theses at the Faculty of History and Etnopedagogie are a possibility of documenting and generalising the collected material, dedicated to specifi c aspects of national and world history and culture. In the current presentation we look at an overview of the topic and the content of theses of the period 2010-2013, dedicated to the cultural heritage of communities in Moldova, realised in the Masters programme of History Heritage and Cultural Tourism, administered by the Department of Ethnology and Geography and by the programme „Teaching historical disciplines”, coordinated by the Department of history of Romanians from the Faculty of History and Etnopedagogie State Pedagogical University Ion Creanga.
