| Rezumat | ||||||
Based on archival materials, the article examines the history of the construction, consecration and further decoration of the Transfiguration Cathedral in the central Bulgarian colony of Bolgrad. The activities of the governing structures, the community of Bolgrad and other Bulgarian colonies in collecting materials and funds for the construction of the temple are considered. The author concludes that the creation of the temple is not only the realization of the desire of the Bulgarian settlers, but a «project from above». |
