Rezumat

The article provides a retrospective analysis of the military and political events of the first third of the XIX century in the territory of the South Caucasus, which were attended by the Russian empire, Iran, Turkey and Western states. These geopolitical players sought to consolidate their influence in Transcaucasia. The author comes to the conclusion that as a result of the Wars – The Russo-Persian and Russo-Turkish – The military victory remained for St. Petersburg, and the geopolitical victory – for Great Britain, France and Turkey. Also, one of its consequences was the entry of Northern Azerbaijan and the entire Transcaucasia into Russia.
