The presented results refers to the analysis of SAUM communication practices in order to reveal how effective they are throughout in the whole institutionand in specified departments of the university. The aim of the study is to find out how the communication process is organized in the university, at the level of the departments and to determine if these processes have a direct impact on productivity, if they do, how can we change it in order to increase employees efficiency. In order to achieve the main goal were proposed the following objectives: 1. To determine the structure of communication at SAUM; 2. To find out what are the most used communication channels in the institution; 3. How effective is the used feedback system; 4. What is the employee satisfaction about the information received. The research was done at the Department of International Relations. There were used the methods of research like questionnaires, direct interview, financial analysis and direct observations. According to the results obtained, it was proved that the satisfaction by gender on the information received from the managers, women are more satisfied than men. In addition, the women are more satisfied than men are with about 13% about the extent that the manager is open to new ideas. Analyzing the methods and channels of communication as 1-Ineffective and 5-Effective we observed that the most efficient methods of communication are the Emergency Text Message Alerts with about 4.73 points, the E-mail messages with 4.59 points and Face-to-Face communication channel with about 4.25 points. We want to mention that at SAUM the Social Media and SAUM Website are not very used methods of communication with 3.78 both. The feedback system is not used inside the university as is needed to be and this has a direct negative impact at improvement of the communication system. The type of organizational communication used at SAUM is the formal communication type, this way of communication is a deliberate attempt to regulate the flow of communication so as to ensure that information flows smoothly, accurately and timely. Sometimes this is called black and white communication. The results of the research allow us to express the next conclusions and recommendations: 1. In average the employees are satisfied about the information they receive from the superiors; 2. We have higher than average ranking for all channels of communication used in the university and the face-to-face, emergency messages and e-mail are used most frequently; 3. Employees opinions are heard by the superior. The recommendations for improving the communication system at the university are: 1. To review the e-mail technology, the volume of messages is its strength; 2. Increase opportunities for face-to-face communication; 3. Creating an anonymous feedback system.
