If in the ancient and medieval period state strikes were aimed, in particular, at changing
the person who is accountable, in the modern and contemporary period, they aim to change the
internal political regime. As a rule, in the case of state strikes, the leaders which lead directly or
indirectly to the rebellion are well known and identify. The representatives of the official power
are either exterminated or exiled, or are under house arrest, their activity and intervention in
the course of the events being blocked. The key institutions of the country are occupied by the rebel
forces. In the mass media cyclic are performed transmissions that notify the masses about the
political changes made, denigrate and dismiss the official power, proclaiming instead the new
power and extending a series of provisional requirements towards the citizens. The army and
the police gradually pass into the camp of the new government obeying to the new requirements.
