Background. Statistical data all over the world show the cardiovascular risks belonging to the top ten of morbidity, although developing ongoing more and more modern treatment techniques. Therefore should be more invested in the research of prediction of structural heart diseases and arrhythmias. Objective of the study. To find out whether some pathological signs in a cardiorhythmogram of a (echocardiographically) healthy person even with a high heart rate variability, can be defined as biomarkers for an affected heart’s regulation. Material and Methods. 218 healthy individuals of both genders were included. The study was done in several stages. In stage A in all subjects the cardiorhythmograms were analyzed by the new-found physiological method and the HRV was analyzed using standard linear methods. On the next stage, stage B it was proofed whether the identified pathological signs in stage A can be treated drug-free. Results. By the new method the pathological signs were identified in the cardiorhythmograms in 130 cases (60 %) p < 0,01 by the standard HRV analysis – in 40 cases (18 %) p < 0,05. So the new-found method could recognize 42 % more cases with pathological heart’s regulation. Secondly, the comparative analysis of the cardiorhythmograms before and after the treatment course showed that the pathological signs can be trwated drug-free. Following the treatment course, the risk group was reduced by 8 times – from 130 individuals to 16 (p < 0,01) after the treatment. So a progression of the identified pathological signs into structural heart pathology or arrhythmias could be prevented. Conclusion. The new method of cardiorhythmogram analysis offers a sensitive biomarker for identification of pathological heart regulation in early stages before it will progress into structural heart pathologies or arrhythmia. They can be influenced by drug-free treatment methods |
