A child is a „tiny universe” and his growth and becoming as an adult represents a long and sinuous road, full of ups and downs. Teachers' strategies working with SER children are not well adapted to different learning situations, the teaching styles observed often benefiting groups of "good" pupils. The term "special educational requirements" refers to a differentiated and specialized educational approach of the students with mental disabilities, physical disabilities, somatic disorders etc. The instructive-educational and compensatory-recuperator process in special education is subordonated to the general teaching principles, mentioning that flexibility and adaptation to the pupils' fitness particularities is needed. In designing and developing lessons, teachers can use the most operational working methods, mixing traditional and modern teaching strategies, using various therapeutic techniques, the aim being to create skills that will ensure personal autonomy and socio-professional integration. |
