Human capital is an ensemble of knowledge acquired through investment in the labor factor. The initiator of human capital theory is considered by some authors Jacob Mincer. The concept of human capital was imposed in the 1961 specialist literature in the American Economic Review when Theodore W. Schultz's article "Investment in Human Capital" appeared, whose theoretical slogan was: "The man-the most valuable wealth of a Countries ". Classical theory of human capital has had and has a great influ-ence in setting educational policies and in correlating them with labor market demands. The concept of human capital corresponds to the abilities and knowledge of a person who facilitates change in action and economic growth [Coleman, 1988]. Human capital can be developed through formal education and education, with the aim of updating and renewing the person's abilities. A distinction is made between different types of human capital. At the firm level, human capital is viewed as a component of intellectual capital. |
