Information technologies (IT) became an important element of human activity. Internet, multimedia raised communication, education and work collaboration to another level. The implementation of IT innovations is a priority for competitive strategy of universities. Traditional education has its advantages, but it became less attractive to the students. But eLearning is not ideal form of education. Blended Learning is a combination of traditional educational model and eLearning. It mixes the best elements of systems, proposing to the students an educational model, which is more interesting for them. In this paper, there are discussed the characteristics of educational models, factors that determine the universities to implement IT. Also, it is analyzed the features of IT implementation in universities from Republic of Moldova. Mixed model is presented as a transitional educational system, that it is considered the more efficient and competitive model. |
