This article is about the notion, general characteristics and types of criminal offences in the economic sphere. These two main social values are regarded as the most important. In order to prevent the infringement of these goods, there is provided criminal liability of the persons for committing crimes, the punishment for which is established in articles 236-258 of Special Part of the Criminal Code of Republic of Moldova. So, speaking about economic offences there are pointed out several basic characteristic features which must be taken into consideration during the investigation of the criminal case. We must take into account the methods and intention of the person, the circle of subjects and criminal consequences. There were suggested several points of view which are necessary to be taken into consideration when a case of an economic offence is examined. Some scientific methods are applied during the explanation and examination of this problem. At the same time an attempt has been made do solve some legal problems.
