Rezumat

The family is the environment that naturally provides the child with conditions for growth, protection, education and well-being. Parental skills or more recently, parenting (the process of promoting and supporting the physical, emotional, social and intellectual development of a child from early childhood to adulthood) is mainly focused on the following objectives: ensuring the health and safety of children, training children for adult life and the transmission of cultural values. Studies in this area have shown the interconnection between family welfare, child rearing and parenting skills. We will analyze how the development of parental skills influences the functioning of the family and the level of welfare by analyzing programs to strengthen parental skills that aim to improve the knowledge, skills of parents in ensuring the well-being of the child. Child well-being, parenting and family welfare are phrases that define modern trends in the education and upbringing of children in accordance with the needs of the child, but also the need for the parent to be informed to create a parent-child relationship beneficial to both parties. When we aim to work with families who want to ensure their children's well-being through improved parenting skills, it is important to give them the support they need to assert themselves as parents. Conscious assumption of a positive relationship with the child is essential in the development, care and well-being of children, but also of the welfare of the family and the community.
