The development of the information society and the emergence of the technologies that allow the online interaction between the citizen and the state institutions favored the extension of the functioning areas in the Internet environment and of the most usual democratic exercise - the vote. Electronic voting involves all methods that use a computer, connected to the Internet, to record, count and transmit votes. Republic of Moldova has the technological capabilities to implement the Electronic Voting, having the available State Register of Voters, the applicability of the digital signature and the electronic bulletin, besides this fact the predisposition of the population towards the use of the Internet on a large scale is already visible. It is only a political decision that needs to be completed.
