Rezumat

In 1991, after the collapse of the USSR, Belarus gained independence, and with it the opportunity to build a new cultural policy of the country. A special role was given to cultural institutions. The Belarusian National Theater hold an important place among these institutions. In 1993, he received the title of National, and a little earlier - in 1991, the director of the group – Valery Rajeusky – took the post of artistic director. Today it is the most important theater stage in Belarus. The theater has an important educational function. It is interesting to see how the mission and art program of this ensemble was formed in 1991-2020. Two periods should be compared: 1991–2008 – artistic director V. Rajeusky and 2009–2020 - artistic director Nikolai Pinihin. These studies show that historical drama and historical themes occupied an important place in the formation of the repertoire. However, the approach of these two directors was fundamentally different. This means that the art education of the theater was different.
