Rezumat

This article examines the problem, that modern students have significantly reduced their educational motivation. The main issue raised in the article can be considered the question of what methods a modern teacher can use to increase the student’s educational motivation. Based on personal professional experience and the studied literature, the author of the article reveals some methods and techniques that help to attract students’ attention to such a subject as mathematics. The article describes the application of the problem-solving method and the mental map method. It also provides an example of a business game, examines the essence of design and research activities of students, describes the strengths and weaknesses of the application of information technology in mathematics. This article may be of interest to students studying the didactics of mathematics, as well as young specialists teaching mathematics.
