Research so far has shown that the status of teachers and self-identity is primarily directed towards mental rewards (subjective work satisfaction) rather than extrinsic or auxiliary rewards, such as money, prestige or power. This results from the historical association of teaching with "service" and the internal structural factors within the profession that favor the emphasis placed on job satisfaction. One of the clear conclusions of this component of the professor's research was that teachers in all schools continue to perceive this profession through the word "vocation". Thus, rather than discussing the status, their workplace orientation should be specified by referring to emotional terms, inclusively by passion, being prepared to sacrifice for the good of their students and hoping to inspire change. Teachers' feeling derives from their identity as teachers and the professional nature of their occupation. We believe that internal praise in the school and among parents is a positive source in identifying the status, the external recognition by prizes of teachers leads to division and counteraction in the collegiate environment. |
