This article examines the artistic features of the cultural archetype of water in the poetics of the novel written by V. Rasputin. In the Slavic world view, water is presented in two forms: "live water" and "dead water." This fact motivates the ambivalence of the researching image-symbol, which is considered as an element that forms the mythopoetic system of the work. This fact allowed the author to create a picture of the world that is closely related to such mythologemes as Atlantis and Kitezh – Grad. |
