The article is focused on the influence of music, process of playing a musical instrument on the learning and developmental processes, way of stimulating the brain. Thus, the authors refer to empirical researches carried out by foreign researchers, to neuroscience, as well as mentioning the studies on the therapeutic effects of the Mozart music. The article contains the concrete benefits of studying a musical instrument as result of synthesizing a series of specialized literature relevant to topic under discussion, the main goal of the article is to emphasize the role of music in the case of ASD children, introducing the notion of melotherapy. The authors mention also the importance of adapting the melotherapy to the necessities and degree of affection of the autist child, reveal the potential of the musical instruments in this field. The article also englobes case studies that present the results of using the music in the process of recovery the children with autistic spectrum disorders.
