Given estimates of general combining ability (GCA) of 37 self-pollinated lines of different terms of maturity with three testers on sings “the yield of ears in the wrappers”, “the height of attachment of the ear” and “the average weight of ear and constants specific combining ability (SCA) of 111 hybrid combinations for these same indicators. As a result of the investigations a number of samples combining high effects of GCA with high constants of SCA have been identified for all the indicators studied. |
