The paper analyzes the results of a representative national sociological study on value orientations of today's youth and their views on sexual and family- mating behavior, conducted in Ukraine in 2012. We evaluated the responses concerning the acceptable age at first sex and marriage, attitudes toward virginity, sex before marriage, and the number of pre-marital partners. Age and geography are often the factors that determine the position of young Ukrainians in relation to sex and sexual freedom, as well as differences depending on their own sexual experience. We have found that there is a distinction between marriage readiness age, and the preferred marriage age in view of young people with the tendency to the increased marriage age for men.  Gender inconsistencies appear as different norms and standards of behavior for men and women recognized by respondents as acceptable. Every third respondent, regardless of gender, unconditionally agrees that both sexes should enjoy complete sexual freedom without any restrictions. Double moral standards in relation to gender restrictions in sexual behavior were reflected by 10-fold predominance of men compared with women in recognizing this possibility for men only. The range of opinions is presented on acting in an erotic show / striptease for a fee.
