Starting from a debate between the historian Lucian Boia and the philosopher Gabriel Liiceanu, the author makes an ample incursion in the history of the concept of freedom. He refers to philosophers, artists, mystics, scientists, in his attempt to answer several questions: Do people need freedom? What is freedom? Are there more types of freedom? What is the relation between creation, creativity and freedom? Where does a person experience freedom? How is inner freedom involved in case of art education? The paper concludes with the ways of experiencing inner freedom in art education. |
