Rezumat

 The current global trends highlight the importance of education’s role in building sustainable and inclusive societies. To fulfill this mission, the modern educational systems have to deliver effective and quality pre-service and in-service teacher training programs, which will endow teachers with competencies required to address a variety of educational needs. This paper outlines some significant international concepts on inclusive teacher training, analyses the current stage of the pre-service and in-service inclusive teacher education in Moldova and provides a range of recommendations for improvements.
