Rezumat

Giant barocaloric effects driven by hydrostatic pressure have been suggested for cooling applications, but they have been traditionally seen only in a small range of magnetic materials that are relatively expensive. Here it will presented the pressure-dependent calorimetry data to demonstrate giant barocaloric effects in ferroelectric materials that are made of cheap abundant elements.
