The effect of pulse magnetic treatment as well as of cold plasma (air, argon) on surface morphology change of electrodeposited coatings has been investigated for copper coating on copper substrate. Surface structure changes of coatings under exposure to cold plasma and magnetic field are of the same type and include smoothing, compaction, refinement of structure fragments. The low power levels that release into the inductor are more effective on treatment by magnetic field. The result of magnetic treatment is reduced for coatings plated by the use of inductive-capacitive arrangement. When the time of exposure to plasma is 20 minutes the result of structure transformation can be clearly registered independently of the plating technique. The best result is observed on exposure of coating surface to argon plasma. The appearance of the surface changes substantially (Figure). The cross-section structure analysis reveals the formation of refinement structure surface. |
