Rezumat

Historical contents, describing the events that took place hundreds of years ago, predecessors to the Union of Bessarabia with Romania and the unfolding of the process of the Great Union, are currently treated differently depending on personal interests, political color, external influences, which addresses this topic, but also offers enormous opportunities for the teacher in the formation of intellectual competences, in the formation of attitudes and of historical knowledge in the 8th, 9th, 11th grade students, in which subjects are studied with the respective theme. Each history teacher must undertake curricular and extracurricular activities by studying these motivating contents through events, personalities, historical changes that have had a great impact on the evolution of the Romanian people in Romania and especially in Bessarabia. Studying the events of the Union, the activity of the Country Counsel, which has an important role in the history of the Romanian nation, develops a patriotic attitude towards students, helping them to understand that they are part of the Romanian nation. It is very significant that each pupil, the future citizen, should have a correct view on the process of national and spiritual awakening of the Romanians in the old Romanian province, Bessarabia, from the beginning of the 20th century.
