We present some elastic parameters of cerium dioxide (CeO2) with a recent embedded atom method (EAM) based interatomic potential through geometry optimization calculations. Employed potential well reproduce the typical cubic elastic constants, bulk modulus, shear modulus, young modulus, and other related parameters. In general, our results are in close agreement with experiments and better than those of several former theoretical data for the compared parameters of CeO2.
