Background. Bronchial asthma is a major public health problem, with an estimated 300 millions affected individuals, with increasing prevalence, especially in the pediatric population. The most countries continue to experience a suboptimal level of bronchial asthma control, which requires ongoing optimization of the strategies for the management and treatment of asthma at both global and national levels. The aim of the study is to develop a clinical protocol for the management of asthma exacerbations in children. Materials and methods. Literature search was performed using the Cochrane and Medline / PubMed databases as well as international guidelines and protocols. Results and conclusions. A comprehensive analysis and synthesis of evidence data, guidelines and protocols in asthma in children was carried out, with the development of the clinical protocol: Management of exacerbations of asthma in children, to be implemented and used in emergency units |
