Observing organizational operation brings to light that an employee’s work-life includes numerous duties and tasks that go beyond their official job description, which are subject to their personal discretion and will, and contribute significantly to the organization's performance and success. This is referred to as "organizational citizenship behavior" in organizational and administrative literature, which includes behaviors such as punctuality, assisting other employees, volunteering, initiating change and innovation, avoiding co-worker exploitation, and more. |
