Rezumat

real forms and indicators of stratification of society; identification of causes and "anatomy" of social conflicts; determining opportunities and effective levers to consolidate society; creating conditions for expanding the middle class. The goal of the research is to identify the specificity of the social stratification of Moldovan society and ways of its social modernization within the framework of comparative analysis with EU countries. Post-Soviet societies, including Moldova, are characterized by the incompatibility or a "break" of the main criteria of the social stratum, and a threateningly deformed social structure. The unsuccessful hierarchy of society is caused by numerous causes, including a the paltry wage in the national economy, the lack of job vacations, demanding high qualification and skills of the worker, inaction of social lifts, clan personnel policies. The complex of measures held under the auspices of the state to overcome / minimize these causes will allow improving of the social stratification of the Moldovan society towards approximation to "European standards".
