Osteomyelitis represents a supurative bone infection which rises a lot of medical problems related with biofilm production, persistence of infection as well as resistence to antimicrobial agents. In the specialised literature there are a lot of classification systems of osteomyelitis, but no one is worlwide accepted. This systemic review brings into disscusion main physiopathological mechanisms involved in development of osteomyelitis and the most known classification systems of this. |
