According to this article, fractures of proximal humerus represent 4-5% of all fractures of the body, while fracture-dislocation of this region being complex lesion have an increased propensity for developing avascular necrosis of the humeral head, nonunion and modest functional outcomes. The study is an examination of a total sample of 79 patients with proximal humeral fractures, from which 27 patients are with fracture-dislocation of proximal humerus, aged between 20-80 years, predominant being affected patients from age group 56-70 years. To solve proximal humerus fracture-dislocation, in study were used three types of implants that ensured us good outcomes in 57,l4%, represent 72 points according to Constant and Murley Score; 33,33% of patients who have presented at the control had satisfactory results showing a score of 68 points; in 9,52% of patients the results were unsatisfactory, with develop- ments of avascular necrosis of the humeral head. Final outcomes are similar to the results described in the literature, which show us that the treatment tactics is chosen correctly. |

</description> </descriptions> <formats> <format>application/pdf</format> </formats> </resource>
