The paper presents a contribution to the paleontological investigations of Sarmatian (volhyniene) molluscs from the Republic of Moldova, as well as abroad. The main purpose of the paper is the detailed study of the diversity of species and taxa groups fauna of the layers aged volhyniene of the site from Camenca. Also, a correct assessment of data, which could then complete geological stratigraphy section of Miocene age deposits in Republic of Moldova. Content detection and features of faunal associations of molluscs and their place in the evolution of marine and brackish fauna of the lower Sarmatian from Eastern Paratethys.

Lucrarea prezintă o contribuție la investigațiile paleontologice ale moluștelor sarmațiene (volhyniene) din Republica Moldova, precum și de peste hotarele ei. Scopul principal al lucrării este studiul detaliat al diversităţii speciilor şi taxonilor grupurilor de faună din stratele de vârstă volhyniană din situl de la Camenca. Sunt evidențiate conţinutul şi particularităţile faunistice ale asociaţiilor de moluşte, precum şi locul lor în evoluţia faunei marine şi salmastre a Sarmaţianului inferior din regiunea Paratethys-ului de Est.

В статье приводит результаты палеонтологических исследований сарматских (волынских) моллюсков Республики Молдова, а также сопредельных стран. Основной целью работы является детальное изучение видового разнообразия групп и таксонов малакофауны волынского возроста, которые известны из каменского местонахождения. Были выявлены особенности фаунистических ассоциаций, моллюсков и их место в эволюции морских и солоноватых водных бассейнов восточного Паратетиса в ранесарматское время.
