Establishing the rule of law in Moldova is at an early stage. Sanctioning this fundamental principle in the Constitution of Moldova is only the beginning of a titanic work to be performed today and tomorrow by the authorities and every citizen. “In the beginning was the word” and we still have to work, because, as the statutory general principle that the Supreme Law Society and the State to become and serve as a national idea. The idea of rule of law, as conceived in ancient times by contributing the best minds of the centuries that followed, has become a theory that has found application in most developed countries in the world today. Or rule of law, as you know, can not be a reality as long as he is told only in the Constitution. State law requires certain political settlement based on the separation of powers, that a system of “brakes and counterweights” able to hinder public authorities to abuse the powers that were vested. |
