Rezumat

Business modeling is the first stage the software developer should meet with in the process of developing an information technology system. Business model is a simplified description of the organization. A completed model of business system allows designing an optimal information technology system (SI) which meets the user’s needs and enables achieving the company’s goals. The creation, as well as the integration of information technology systems, depends on the quality of business modeling. Special methodologies and Computer Aided Software Engineering tools (CASE were use to describe the phenomena and processes, which take place in an organization. The article shows the shipping company and electronic system of invoice maintenance as the model of business system as a part of information system.
