Book did not have borders or regimes, it circulated in extremely difficult times for Bessarabia, especially in the nineteenth century, in the tsarist period, when river Prut becomes a great obstacle in the relations of different order between Romanians
on both sides of the river. Even with all authorities impediments, the Romanian book entered and circulated in Bessarabia with the same intensity as in the Romanian territories where it was not prohibited. |
