The technological process of laser milling using the Q-switched mode is studied in this work. It is shown that the results of the laser action (the roughness of the surface and its chemical composition, the thickness of the removed layer) considerably depend on the processing conditions and the thermal and physical properties of the workpiece. The quality is also influenced by the amount of the liquid phase appearing in the case of laser heating and the fracture mode. |
